The Housmates
I was new in the city and was looking for a place. Luckily my bestfriend Cherry, had some friends na nag she-share sa isang apartment. Nanggaling pa ako sa province and I came to the city para maghanap ng mas better na trabaho. May pera pa naman ako and I'm very sure na mabubuhay ako for the next five months even if I don't get to find a job immediately. As my bus arrived at the station, she was already there to pick me up.
Akhi: Ui bessy, salamat ha? buti anjan ka. hindi ko na kinailangan pang mag hanap ng matitirhan on my own at mapapamura pa ako. I don't know what I'd do without you. You're a life saver
Cherry: Don't worry about it anu ka ba ang drama mo ha.
Then she poked me.
Akhi: hahaha okay okay! tara na nga.
So we took a taxi and then after about 45 minutes or so, we arrived at the appartment. It was quite big at sa pagpasok namin, nasa bandang sala ang lahat ng mga nakatira doon na makakasama ko, and they've already been informed na paparating ako. As we entered:
Cherry: Hi everyone! this is Akhi, your new housemate.
In the room I saw a woman with blonde hair, a nerdy and skinny guy, a muscle man who's obviously had too much "whey" (protein supplement), and a tall, athletic and handsome guy.
the blonde hair: pleased to meet you. ako nga pala si Rocel. But you can call me Ross.
the nerdy: Ako nga pala si Gideon.
Gid for short.
the muscle man: I'm Harold and I don't like nicknames.
everyone gave me a welcoming handshake except for that handsome guy who just remained slouched on the couch na nakatutok sa kanyang phone. I thought to myself "what a rude gesture". and then kinausap sya ni Cherry.
Cherry: Hey Gab! stop being a jerk and introduce yourself to your new housemate!
Gab: there! I'm already introduced. Ikaw na mismo nagsabi ng pangalan ko. hahaha!
then he looked at me and gave me a cocky wink
the nerve! he's snickering like something's tickled him.
Cherry: whatever Gab!
I chose to just let it go and then all of a sudden, Gideon asked me:
Gideon: I'm just curious Akhi, what does gay guys do during day offs?
Rocel: Oooookay Mr. Nerdy boy you need to zip it. Wag mo nalang sya intindihin Akhi. he gets carried away sometimes.
Akhi: Yeah I can see that.
Then I gave Cherry a peeved glance.
To ease the tention I cleared my throat and asked:
Akhi: So where's my room?
everyone exchanged looks then Rocel spoke.
Rocel: actually there's a bad news, you don't get to have your own room kase all the bedrooms are occupied.
Gideon: But good news is may isang kwarto dito, that's bigger than
all the others. may dalawang bed doon.
I expelled my breath in a whose and asked.
Akhi: Who's gonna be my "roommate" then?
everyone looked at Gab
Gab: What??? I don't really care.
Great! He gets to be my roommate. the jerk one!
Akhi: Okay, I guess I should take my luggages to the room now.
Harold: tutulungan na kita. Gab tulungan mo rin kami since sa kwarto mo ilalagay ang lahat ng ito.
Gab: okay fine! *eyes rolling*
Inside the room inilagay na nila harold at gab ang mga luggage ko and as I entered I thought to myself "wow, he may be a jerk pero malinis sya sa kwarto".
Cherry: Okay maiwan ka na namin dito Akhi para makapag settle in kna. Anyway kailangan ko naring umalis kase may meeting pa ako this afternoon.
Akhi: Thankyou so much Bessy. ingat ka sa pag alis.
Cherry: okay bye bessy.
Hapon na at malapit ko nang matapos e ligpit ang mga gamit ko ng biglang pumasok si Gab sa kwarto.
Nakita ni Gab na nakalagay ang mga stuffed toy ko na totoro sa desk malapit sa bintana
Gab: so, you're gay right?
Wow! what a thing to say. this is actually gonna be the first conversation that I'm going to have with him and he's being totally rude.
Akhi: Yes! unfortunately.
Gab: hmmmm.... okay...
....long line of silence.....
Gab: Just a little warning, if you ever try to rape me, you're gonna have to deal with my fist you understand? hahaha
and there just like that my thread of patience snapped and I really had to talk back.
Akhi: First of all, hindi purkit gay ako eh may gusto na ako sa'yo and secondly, sa ugali mong yan sigurado akong hindi kita papatulan.

Tumayo sya facing me and god was he tall! about 5'11.

then he burst into laughter

wala akong nagawa kundi bumalik sa higaan ko at tapusin ang pagliligpit at manahimik nalang habang sya naman ay tumatawa na nakahiga sa higaan nya.
It was about time for dinner. In this house, kanya kanya sila ng pagkain so since I was already very tired mula sa byahe minabuti ko nalan na kumain sa labas but before I went out of the room, naisip ko it was disrespectful kung di man lang ako magpapaalam kay Gab.
Akhi: lalabas muna ako para kumain.
Gab: Whatever dude.
So I ate outside and then grabbed a few things at the convenient store and head back home. pagpasok ko sa kwarto, tulog na si Gab. slightly naghihilik sya. lumapit ako sa may bandang kama nya and was mocking him at inaakmaan kong sasapakin but then nakita ko yung face nya. Clear view super HD. Ang gwapo pala talaga nya. Ang hahaba ng pilik mata at ang ganda ng lips nya. umupo ako sa may gilid ng kama nya para makita ng malapitan kung baga zoom in bess. ng bigla syang gumalaw. nagulat ako at bigla akong tumayo at naglakad papunta sa higaan ko. Hayy naku! Antok lang to. Kailangan ko na siguro matulog.
